Your recordings, under your control.
Recordings often hold private conversations. Here we explain, with no small print, what we do with them. The legal detail is in the privacy policy.
What happens to your recording
- You upload itIt travels encrypted (HTTPS) from your browser to our servers.
- It is transcribedAs soon as it finishes, we delete the original file. The transcription provider deletes its copy within 48 hours.
- You ask it questionsQuestions and documents are processed with models that don’t keep what you send them.
- It stays in your accountThe transcript and everything generated are kept until you delete them. Deleting an audio deletes everything generated from it.
Your recordings don’t train artificial intelligence models
Neither we nor our transcription and language-model providers use your recordings, transcripts, questions or documents to train models. That is how we have it set up with each provider.
Who sees what
- Each member of the organization sees only their own audio.
- The organization’s owner sees everyone’s audio.
- Public links use hard-to-guess keys, and you can add a password or an expiry date, or revoke them.
- Internal access to data is limited to the staff who need it to run the service.
Accounts and payments
- Passwords are stored encrypted with a one-way algorithm.
- You can turn on two-step verification in your profile.
- We only use cookies needed for the service to work; none for advertising or tracking.
- We never see or store your card details: Paddle receives and protects them.
Where the data is processed
Our servers are in the United States (New York), and our transcription and artificial intelligence providers also process data in that country. We only work with providers who commit by contract to protect it.

Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion or a copy of your data by writing to info@omegawriter.app from your account’s email. We reply within 10 business days. You can download or delete your audio and documents yourself whenever you want.
No system is infallible. If an incident affects your data, we will notify you as the law requires.
